At Hornbills Forest Cottages, situated just outside Stutterheim, the gentle silence and soft, fresh air will welcome you to a world of forests, streams and waterfalls. Yellowwood Cottage, which has lovely forest views, offers cozy comfort. Here there are two double bedrooms - each with an extra bed, a large seating area come dining room, a shower room and a kitchenette. For cold winter nights there is a fireplace and for warm summer days a plunge pool. In the evenings, braai (barbecue) at the cottage or next to the stream or catch up on a bit of TV with a selection of dstv channels or WiFi. The ancient trees tell stories of rare birds, butterflies, animals and plants - a nature lover's wonderland. The forest is criss-crossed with many trails, both short and long, that lead to crystal clear mountain streams and waterfalls. We can experience all seasons in one day and on a day or two in winter there may be a dusting of snow on the mountain tops.

We really enjoy meeting people and hearing all the stories they have to tell. Our interests are wildlife and travelling in Southern Africa particularly to Southern Africa's game reserves. What makes us happiest is when people enjoy their experiences here. We really appreciate hearing good stories and we really appreciate it if guests tell us of any problems they encounter.
