Situated at the foot of the 1,904 m Hlogoma Peak (place of echoes) in the foothills of the Southern Drakensberg of Underberg, KwaZulu-Natal, Khumbula lodge (place of memories) is conveniently placed between Underberg and the neighbouring town of Himeville, some 2,5 hours from Durban. Khumbula boasts magnificent panoramic views of mountains, farmlands, dams and a bird sanctuary. This world class accommodation caters to sleep up to 8 persons, 6 in the main lodge with 3 bedrooms (one bedroom on suite with spa bath and the other two bedrooms with shared bathroom) and 2 in the separate apartment (with small kitchenette and own bathroom), has a modern lounge, bar and dining area as well as amazing desks that suround the entire lodge. The lodge is authentic timber frame styled and oozes ambiance and character. The garden area is well maintained and has a bon fire and braai area.
