How it all began .... KlipHuisjes was brought into existence by the wonderful previous owners, Atjie & Witte Bekker who put their hearts and souls into building the cottages and business from scratch. They collected every stone and piece of wood from the surrounding countryside, and with their own hands created an incredibly unique and special spot, which guests have been enjoying since 2012. Andrew, who bought Kliphuisjes in May 2019, has been a regular visitor to Dullstroom since his student days, saw both Kliphuisjes and Dullstroom as an excellent retirement choice because of the town lifestyle and beautiful countryside.

Dullstroom is one of the few sub-Alpine weather destinations, consistently ranked as a top 10 weekend destination in South Africa and is also a proud home to flyfishing with many fine dams and streams as well as many hiking trails ranging from a gentle 1 hour stroll to an energetic day’s hike all around town. Highland Gate Golf course (18 hole Ernie Els course) 14 km outside town is truly a "high" experience for any golfer. Mpumalanga - "the place where the sun rises" - is a Province with spectacular scenic beauty and halfway between the magnificent Kruger National Park and Johannesburg, you'll find Dulltroom's shores, homes and braais. There is Always SOMETHING to do in DULLSTROOM, so take a turn and come Experience South Africa's Flyfishing Mecca !!!
