Company info

Brett Gehren was driving along the road looking for people to assists him with the building of the Lodge when he encountered Blessing and 2 friends. Blessing assisted with the construction of the lodge and stayed on thereafter as an employee. Blessing completed his Hotel School diploma through correspondance and moved to Thonga Beach Lodge to continue his practical studies. After some time there he returned to Kosi Forest Lodge and recently was promoted to General Manager. Blessing, his wife and family have their homestead in the community near the Lodge.

Kosi Forest Lodge situated in an unspoilt wilderness area of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, World Heritage site. This rustic 16 bed lodge nestled in a beautiful sand forest on the waterways of the Kosi Lakes System offers comfortable accommodation in wood, thatch & canvas chalets with romantic outdoor boma bathrooms. Please note that 4x4 vehicle is required to reach the Lodge.

Neighborhood info

A nature lover’s & birder’s paradise which can be explored by guided canoe trips, boat trips on the lakes, Raffia Forest walks or 4x4 excursions to nearby pristine beaches offering excellent snorkelling. From November to January nocturnal Sea Turtle Tracking is available. Sundowners are enjoyed on the swimming pool deck.
