Kruger Huisie was built in 1940's. In 2020 we bought the dorps house and saw the potential in the structure carefull planning and doing 60% of the work labor ourselves over a period of 94 working days we renovated. All plumbing was replaced, and all electricity was replaced, and today the house offers solar power, a borehole, and a smart gas supply for the hot water. The house offers 3 bedrooms with linen, towels, and a pillow menu. Lounge, dining room, and open plan kitchen leading onto the covered patio stoep area with built-in braai and splash pool. The wood fire is supplied, there is a bar fridge on the patio, and bring your own ice with it. Remember we use SOLAR so hairdryers, Microwave, and electric kettles are a no-go. Security and 24-hour houseman who lives onsite. Please tip him and he will gladly help to tidy up.
I live in Johannesburg and bought this house as I love Parys and the country town. I realized that water and electricity is not functioning and immediately drilled a borehole to supply the house. During the journey several doings and piecemeal projects the house is flowing, and the pool and entertainment area private and secure away from the quiet street as only country dorpies offer. What attracted me to the town, it offers all the basic retailers, and the climate is about 5 degrees warmer in summer than Johannesburg, with cooler winters as the proximity of the Vaal River.
It is safe to walk in the streets, and crime all over does happen, but a petty crime.
