Lavender Garden Cottage (Pet Friendly) is situated in the upmarket leafy Walmer suburb. It is ideal for couples / family visits to Port Elizabeth and is close to the airport ( 3 kms ) , main beaches ( 6 kms ) , schools ( Grey High/ Junior , Collegiate, Theodore Hertzel, DF Malherbe all within a 5 minute drive ) , shopping malls, hospitals & Restaurants within walking distance. This is a self catering unit with all amenities required for preparing meals. There is a large living area surrounded by an undercover patio/stoep which overlooks the pool and garden. The furnished patio leading off the living area includes an undercover braai/serving area protected from the elements. The living area includes a TV ( DSTV ), breakfast bar counter , daybed and all amenities required for self catering ( fridge/freezer, micro wave , gas oven/hob etc. ) and overlooks the swimming pool available to the guests. There is secure off street parking protected by electric fencing as does the rest of the property, Guests have access to the property via a remote controlled electric gate. There is a large enclosed garden which allows pets to roam freely.
We are retired and live on the property and have traveled extensively both locally and internationally which has helped us in ensuring that our cottage has all the necessary features for a comfortable / relaxing stay.
The Walmer ( Water Road ) area is an upmarket neighborhood centrally situated in Port Elizabeth close to all the major attractions in the city which makes for a hassle free visit. We are a mere 3 kilometers away from the N2 highway leading to major malaria free Game Parks ( Addo / Kariega /Scotia ) a mere 45 minute drive away. The Nelson Mandela Bay rugby stadium, St Georges Cricket Stadium,Hobie beach Pier (Ironman venue) are all a mere 5 to 10 minute drive away.
