We are so excited to welcome you and to spoil you with our full Lions Rock Rapids hospitality . We love to experience the process of guests arriving as strangers and leaving as friends. We will always go the extra mile to make sure you are very well looked after, that you have a memorable experience and that you get the most out of your stay. Guests of all ages are very welcome and we will tailor your visit to your unique needs, so please always alert us to these upon booking. It is always a pleasure to see our guests enjoying our beach area, learning to fish and tubing in the rapids for the first time. We smile broadly every time we hear how phenomenal the food is and how we have exceeded our guests expectations.
Property info
Lions Rock Rapids is uniquely located directly on the Sabie River, with our very own river sand beach. Here you can relax, play volleyball - younger ones love to play in the sand with our buckets and spades and many guests enjoy fishing or tubing down the river rapids. You can relax in our lounge and bar area, which overlooks the beach and river and enjoy all your delectable meals in our adjoining restaurant. Our communal pool that looks out over the beach and onto the river is also a firm favourite , here you can unwind with a delicious cocktail and soak up some rays on one of our recliners. We are also ideally located 20mins away from the Phabeni Gate of Kruger National Park and on the door step of the Panorama route where you can chase waterfalls and take in breathtaking sites.
After enjoying a tasty 3 course dinner, your evenings can be spent around our big, open air BOMA fire, located on the beach. Alternatively you may decide to play pool and simply relax in our bar/lounge area overlooking the BOMA.
Nighttime has something special in store, as you fall asleep to the sounds of the rushing rapids, which has been compared to the relaxing sounds of the ocean.

For our adventure seekers, the surrounding area offers many exciting activities. These include Game Drives in the Kruger National Park, River Rafting, Quad Biking, Horse Riding and many more. These can all be arranged for you as an added extra by our staff. Outside of these “paid for” activities, we would like to remind our guests of all the natural wonders that you can immerse yourself in, leaving you with an even deeper appreciation for all that is Africa.
Among these natural wonders are at least 10 magnificent waterfalls to take in along the Panorama Route, many other exhilarating hiking and mountain biking trails and of course, the world famous "God's Window", which really is a must see for your bucket list.
There is also always the opportunity for leisurely walks and animal/bird spotting on our own property. Please get in touch with our front office staff to assist with any information you might need to plan your days.
