Melrose Place Boutique Hotel is owned and run by Sue Truter and her two daughters, Michelle and Claire. we have been operating for the last 23 years. Most of our staff have grown up with our business and welcome guests with true hospitality.

A privately-owned establishment whose hallmark is friendliness and hospitality, Melrose Place Boutique Hotel prides itself in personalized service and attention to detail. It is the genuine warmth of the staff who no doubt put the sparkle in this real oasis. The central and convenient location of our accommodation makes it the perfect stop-over for business travellers and out of town guests visiting Johannesburg for a night out at the theatre, live show, sporting week-end or shopping spree. We have 30 individually decorated en-suite rooms. A true oasis in the heart of the city.

Neighborhood info

The suburb of Melrose is situated in the North of Johannesburg between Rosebank, Birdhaven and Hyde Park. The suburb is central to a number of destinations and places of interest that the visitor to Johannesburg might wish to include in their itinerary. Just a few blocks away is the Wanderers Cricket Ground, home to many a test match, and Wanderers Golf Club. The Melrose Bird Sanctuary, where more than 120 wild bird species nest in the indigenous trees and reedbeds around a lake is nearby. Melrose is centrally situated for shopping at Rosebank Mall, Melrose Arch and Sandton City. The Rosebank Mall also holds a very popular Flea Market every Sunday morning, and there are frequent "collectibles" markets. Other local attractions just a few blocks from Melrose are the Johannesburg Zoological Gardens and the Museum of Military History. The suburb is close to three on-ramps to the M1 highway.
