Monet House is luxury in open space. Situated on the Parys Golf and Country Estate in the Free State, and offers you your own piece of bushveld adjacent to a freestanding island within the rumbling waters of the majestic Vaal River. Not only does the island shield its visitors from human activities in and across the river, but also provides spawning ground to the fresh water fish in the area. The famous French artist Oscar-Claude Monet was a master at painting light and atmosphere. We engaged masters to encapsulate the beauty of nature, to lighten the spirit and expose the atmosphere of MONET HOUSE. Monet house is off the grid with an inverter, filtered water tank and wifi. The house offers 4 air-conditioned en-suite bedrooms, each offering lovely river views and furnished with a king-size bed that can be converted into twin beds. Of the en-suite bathrooms, 2 is fitted with bath, shower, toilet and twin basin, and the other 2 is fitted with a shower, toilet and twin basins. The fully equipped kitchen features a large granite working area, and a prep bowl, and contains a microwave, a fridge- and deep-freezer, an ice machine, a stove, oven and an extractor fan. There is also a separate scullery with a dishwasher. The air-conditioned living area has a guest toilet, an 8-seater dining table, and the lounge has a TV with a DStv Explora package. The living area has clear folding doors which protect the house from mosquitoes and other insects, which opens onto an undercover patio that boasts a built-in braai facility. There is also a remote-controlled fan on the patio. The lounge, patio and dining room have been intricately linked with glass or clear folding doors to allow a bird’s view across the magnificent surroundings rich in fauna and flora. In addition, the house has 2 double automated garages for 4 vehicles to park in, with direct access into the house, as well as an alarm and Trellidor doors.
