Consisting of a main bedroom en-suite, a second bedroom and separate bathroom, with an open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area, the accommodation is well appointed with all cooking and eating utensils. Please note that the closest shops and restaurants are 5km from Umzumbe. The entire apartment is your own - no sharing with other guests. The main bedroom has amazing beach and sea views, while the second bedroom has views of the back garden and lawn area. A large patio overlooking the beach is ideal for a morning coffee or evening sun-downer. Loungers and chairs make it an ideal area for relaxing. And if you want to take a break from cooking in the kitchen, a Weber barbeque is available . The apartment is solar powered and has its own off-grid water supply. Please note that the apartment does have a single flight of stairs in order to gain access to it. Guests also have access to pool and outside shower.

Umzumbe is a quiet village with one of the few Blue Flag beaches along the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast. As a designated Blue Flag beach the quality of the water is tested monthly to ensure it complies with international standards in terms of microbiological parameters. Umzumbe Blue Flag beach consistently outperforms these parameters and is classified as having "Excellent" water quality. Umzumbe is a prime swimming and surfing spot and for the keen fisherman, there are plenty of angling spots with quiet, clean beaches stretching for several kilometres both north and south of the main beach. Grocery stores and restaurants are within 5-10km of Umzumbe. Please note that it is highly recommended that swimming only takes place at the Blue Flag beach where lifeguards are on duty as rip currents occur along the entire coastline. It is advisable to have your own transport. There are no car-hailing services such as Uber in the area. The closest grocery stores are 5km from the apartment, while there are a number of restaurants/pubs/grills/takeaways between 5km and 12km from the apartment.
