The farm and cabin is only 5km off the R62 but this is a gravel mountain pass that requires the right vehicle. Situated in the picturesque Lankloof, this tiny cabin is nestled between the Tsitsikamma and Zuuranys mountains. 90 minutes from Plettenberg Bay, 90 minutes from Jeffreys Bay, 2 hours from Port Elizabeth and 3 hours from George. Unplug and recharge in the simplicity of slow mornings and long, quiet evenings. The cabin is perched against the foot of a mountain with spectacular views over the northern slope of the Tsitsikamma mountains. Exchange your phone for ‘cloud tv’ as you watch the landscape and light change from the lounge chairs on the verandah or your comfortable queen size bed. Large doors and windows open up to all sides of the cabin filing your views with diverse fynbos and old, majestic Waboom trees. The cabin has a small kitchenette with a two plate gas hob, whistling kettle, bar fridge, coffee plunger and tea pot and all necessary crockery for a self catering stay. As we are in a high fire risk area, no open fires can be made but there is a gas braai on the deck for cooking that perfect meal. Enjoy the cabin’s unique ‘outdoor’ shower on the verandah with the most incredible views over the mountains and complete privacy. (Please note, there is no indoor shower) There is spotty cell phone signal and no wifi at the cabin, but free wifi is available at the farm house about 300 meters from the cabin. A mountain retreat for artists, lovers, writers, gardeners, hikers, birders, farmers, adventurers and all in pursuit of peace and beauty.

I am a Fine Art Photographer that run my own business from our off grid mountain farm in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. Together with my husband and our two dogs we spend most of our time outside, tending the gardens, fruit orchard and chickens. We enjoy hosting guests on our farm and to share the wild beauty around us.

This is a remote location in the mountains and we are a 40 minute drive by car from our nearest small towns, Kareedouw and Joubertina. From your parking area up to the cabin there is a 20 meter, gently sloping walking path. Not suitable for wheelchairs or those with mobility impairments.
