The blue flag beach has a tidal pool and always has lifeguards on duty during the day. It is a 5 minute brisk walk to the main beach from our home. Surfing classes is offered by prior booking; and beginners to advanced surfers can book. If you wish to go for a ride on a horse along the beach you can also book in advance to enjoy the experience. Whale and dolphin watching is always great fun especially when they are close to the beach. We enjoy lawn bowls as a sport and should you have any interest to try it out we are happy to take you when possible. There are a number of bowling greens and golf courses in a 30km radius. We are within 45km from all main attractions along the south coast. We offer cleaning services and even meals can be ordered in at an additional fee should you wish to kick back and just enjoy. We do provide bedding, dishcloths, cleaning cloths, bath towels, Bring your own swimming towels and face cloths. We sell wood, firelighters and some basic items for your convenience should you wish to make use of it. We use septic tanks at the coast so Kindly to not flush anything but toilet paper down the toilets and please do not let left over food go down the drains as it will block the system and cause costly repairs. We are also a firework free area and ask that our guests kindly refrain from using fireworks. With consideration to all guests on the premises we request quite time from 10pm. For your safety we ask that you do not swim where there is no life guards on duty at the beaches. There were the ocean looks the quitest is where the danger of drowning lurks. Comfortable Accommodation; truly a home away from home. Approximately 5min walk from the blue flag beach that offers a tidal pool. You may choose between King and single beds. Even though we are a selfcatering holiday accommodation we provide cleaning products, 2 bin bags, cleaning cloths, 2 toilet rolls per bathroom, toilet spray and more. 2 Options to choose from. We have a House sleeping up to 6 with a private hot tub and a Comfort Cabin room unit that sleeps 2 guests (no hot tub). The house has 2 bedrooms with ensuites (bath and shower); ceiling fans and aircon in the rooms. You may choose between single and King beds in the bedrooms. The main bedroom also has a single bed in it as it is so spacious and the last single bed is in the open plan dining/lounge area. There is a 6 seater dining table in the house and another on the veranda. The veranda contains the barbecue facilities; patio chairs and hot tub. The kitchen is fully fitted with electric stove, microwave, dishwasher, double sink, smoothie maker and a 4 plate gas stove to use during power failure. Ample crockery and cutlery is provided. The Lounge has a Big Screen television and surround sound. The Full Seaview Flatlet has a modern fully fitted Kitchen with microwave, gas stove, coffee maker, smoothie maker, dishwasher, triple sink. It has 2 lounge areas and big screen smart tv. The patio over looking the ocean has a 6 seater and 4 seater dining table, hot tub and barbecue facilities. The main bedroom has a king size bed and shower ensuite. There is a second toilet available. The stackable Queen and single bed is positioned in the open plan lounge area also overlooking the ocean. Glamping unit has a King bed; bar fridge, coffee nook, shower ensuite, ceiling fan. Outside but covered by an awning you will find a barbecue/lounge area. Separate kitchen offering a 2 plate gas stove, microwave, fridge and basic cutlery and crockery. Come and enjoy Surfing, dolphin and whale watching.

Umzumbe is a hidden oases and there is no shops within the village. For this the main attraction is the beaches, hanging out in the tidal pool, fishing, bird, dolphin and whale watching. We have a local surfing champ offering surfing lessons and a horse riding school that offers rides through farm lands, the beach and river trails. There is a massage palour and special yoga classes that includes arial and beach yoga across the road from us. Prior bookings needs to be made. The closest town to us is Hibberdene and is approximately 5km away. There you will find the local food stores, fuel station that makes a delicious breakfast roll and shops. The fish and chip take away is called Fifi's and you will find a KFC, debonairs and other fast food outlets.. Cool Spot is known for their curries and then Tipsy Mermaid provide night life entertainment with local artists performing. Tipsy Mermaid also offers Kareoke evenings, bingo afternoons and fun quiz nights. It is also a bar and restaurant. Jolly Roger is at the beach front and offers putt-putt and water slides for young and old. Mzimayi lodge is also a restaurant that hosts entertainment from time to time. Just 1 km inland from Umzumbe you will find Folly fields nursery and they offer a tea/coffee garden that provides light lunches, breakfast and treats. Approximately 7km towards Port Shepstone you will find a restaurant called Pit Stop that is known for their "Mamoerse Burgers. Entertainment is also offered here. Last but not least the Upside Down house can be viewed approximately 5km from Hibberdene. Most of the South Coast Attractions is within 45km from out accommodation. From the highest, longest and steepest zip lines in the southern hemisphere to the biggest pancakes I have ever seen.
