On the Northern bank of the Olifants river in the Balule Nature Reserve that forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park. The camp on a rise above the river lies by sprawling lawns and dwarfed by huge indigenous trees. The rise which shelters a great many aquatic creatures such as hippo and crocodile is also a haven for the many antelope species, elephant and the inevitable carnivores found in these parts. For bird lovers, the abundance of water and giant trees, harbors a wide variety of birds. From the magnificent Fish Eagle to the smallest of marsh dweller. Placed in the center between Hoedspruit and Phalaborwa, it is close to drive to relevant amenities or book at the lodge for famous safaris.

Balule Nature Reserve is situated between Hoedspruit and Phalaborwa in the Mica area. The entrance of the reserve is +-40 kilometers from the Kruger Gate of the Kruger National Park in Phalaborwa. Hoedspruit is +-40 kilometers from the gate. The area is full of tourist attractions like the the world famous National Geographic Hippo Jessica, Elephant rides, Guided Bush Walks, Boat Cruises at Blyde as well as Phalaborwa the Cheetah project and many more in a radius of 30 to 45 kilometers from the the Lodge.
