Stone Circle Cottage offers comfortable self-catering accommodation in a compact, 2-bedroom cottage. The cottage is situated on a small farm, approx. 16 km outside the town of Lydenburg. The cottage is located in a secluded part of the garden, with its own fenced-off area. The view from the patio looks over farmland, and in the distance, you can see Long Tom Pass on the other side of the valley. We recommend a car with ground clearance, as there is approx 6km of dirt road to get to the farm. In Summer (Our rainy season) the road can be quite slippery and a 4x4 is advised, however we can make alternative parking/transport arrangements should you not have a 4x4 vehicle). This is ideal for business travellers, contractors who would like a comfortable, quiet home from home. Meals, lunch packs etc can be arranged at extra cost. Longer term stays will also receive preferential rates.
Stone Circle Cottage is on our family farm. We are big on becoming self-sustaining and have a large garden, herb garden, vegetable garden, earthworm farm and beehives. Our animals are part of the family and will be sure to pop past the cottage during your visit to say hi.
The farm is situated about 30min outside of Lydenburg on a 6km dirt road. We suggest visiting us in a car with clearance for the rocky sections although 4x4 is not required. 4x4 is advantageous in the Summer Rainy season, however alternative parking and transport can be arranged for the last 6km of the journey to the farm.
