We have 4 beautiful chalets that are situated between the mountains about 12 kilometres from Nelspruit on the N4 towards Mozambique, 7 kilometres on the UITKYK gravel road in the Crocodile Gorge Conservancy Tipperary Region. The property is 250 hectares bush veld. We are 3 STAR self-catering and the game farm is home to kuku, giraffe, impala, zebra, duiker, klipspringer, rooikat and many more little animals running in the veld. You can do extensive bird watching and identify the vast amounts of birds or in the summer seasons, try and catch your dream bass or bream. We are close to the Kruger National Park with the closest gate being about 40 kilometres from us at Malelane making it possible to do daily drives to the Reserve. You can also travel to our surrounding areas such as Gods Window, Pilgrims Rest Mac Mac Pools Bourke's Luck Potholes, Blyde River Canyon, Sudwala Caves and Moholoholo Rehab Centre in Hoedspruit. The climate and mountains makes our area one of the best for cycle training and sight seeing and other outdoor activities. The whole farm has been fenced off and security is excellent. A code is needed to enter our property and needs to be arranged before arrival.
I am a 58 year old dad of 3 sons and 2 grandchildren. The eldest son also lives on the farm with my grand children, a girl of 5 and a boy of 3 years of age. I have been married to my wife Vanessa for 35 years and have been living on the Game Farm for 13 years. I also have a partner living on the farm for the past 7 years. We love the great out doors and my wife, my son and his wife as well as myself are still active sportsman doing mountain bike cycling and running. I have completed the Comrades Marathon 7 times in my life and my wife has done it 5 times. We own 9 dogs between the 3 households and we love animals. Pets are also welcome at the Lodge but needs prior arrangement. I have been a businessman all my life and love the interaction with my fellow human beings.
We are part of the Crocodile Mountain Conservancy totalling around 44000 hectares. There are Lodges all around our area and the people are always willing to help one another. The crime is very low in our area but it is not advisable to help hitch hikers. One always needs to be vigilant. The gravel road where the Lodge is situated runs in a circle around our town by the name of Nelspruit (Mbombela)-this being the new name. Of this, the gravel road is 32 kilometres long.
