Surrounded by cliffs, dramatic views and unspoiled indigenous Afromontane forest with fascinating swirling mists and cloud formations – all part of the pristine, natural environment. The Edge has a range of self-catering cottages (some perched on the edge of the cliff) and bed-and-breakfast rooms, a restaurant and cosy a bar, all in a beautiful tranquil garden setting.

One's overwhelming sense of Hogsback is the quiet, broken only by the singing of birds or the primeval call of the Knysna Lourie - even the chatter of a troop of Samango monkeys as they feed and play in the canopies of trees. And when you do hear a motor vehicle you wonder who is coming to visit.
