“Location is perfect. 20km out of clarens which we loved as we were looking for time out. Also so close to Meirings kloof where there are some spectacular hikes. The farm is beautiful too which we also enjoyed a walk with amazings views.”

Our name captures the spirit of this land perfectly — “Moya” meaning “take your breath away”, and “Mooihoek” meaning “beautiful corner”. Together, they describe exactly what this 342‑hectare piece of heaven is: a beautiful corner of the world that truly takes your breath away. Just 10 km from Clarens, The GingerPig offers the best of both worlds — close enough to enjoy the restaurants, art, and energy of town, yet far enough to escape the noise, crowds, and rush. Here, nature is not a backdrop… it’s the entire experience.
Clarens is a picturesque village in the Eastern Free State, nestled between the Rooiberge and Maluti Mountains. Known as the “Jewel of the Free State,” it’s loved for its breathtaking scenery, peaceful atmosphere, and creative energy.
