Property info

The Hatchery on Amatikulu comprises an old set of buildings set up by pioneers to start the prawn farming industry in South Africa over 50 years ago. These have been lightly renovated and various materials from the original project have been recycled to allow the focus to stay firmly fixed on the place and what it means to each individual traveller to be there in that space and time. All pools, wood-fire hot tubs and facilities are communal to all guests at any time.
