Hosting gives me the joy of connecting with guests and caring for our friendly rescue donkeys and free-range chickens. The property was originally built in 1958, and since we purchased it in 2018, I’ve overseen a careful renovation with minimalist designs and plenty of upcycling—blending the charm of the original cottages with modern comfort. My passion is making every stay special—whether it’s a cozy weekend escape, a family holiday, or a longer retreat. I love seeing guests relax, soak up the countryside, and leave with wonderful memories.

Each cottage features an en-suite bathroom, a king-size bed (Crofters Cottage) or queen-size beds (Hayloft, Farriers, Shepherds Cottage), and the Farriers also has a second bedroom with bunk beds—perfect for families. Cozy up by the wood-burning fireplace, sleep comfortably on electric blankets on chilly winter nights, cook on gas hobs with quality crockery and utensils, or stream Netflix on the Samsung Smart TV with fibre WiFi. Step outside into our secure garden with an electric fence and beams for peace of mind. Meet our affectionate rescue donkeys Leliah, Banksy, and Alfie, who love carrots, bananas, and cuddles, and enjoy the charm of our free-range chickens. Relax with a morning coffee or evening glass of wine under Sherpa blankets and fire up the Weber braai for a classic outdoor feast.
