The luxurious modern farmhouse boasts soaring ceilings, hotel-style beds, giant bathrooms and a cooks-dream, eat-in kitchen. The garden is landscaped like a country estate. Guests are welcome to help themselves to fruit and vegetables from the orchard and food garden. Surrounded by uninterrupted mountain vistas and dramatic skies above, this is the perfect place to be restored and nourished – and to leave inspired. Fully equipped kitchen with wood-burning cast iron and six-plate SMEG gas hob, plus SMEG oven and ten-seater kitchen table. Generously proportioned, open-plan living spaces with central fireplace. Leather couches with feather-filled cushions. Outdoor living, dining and sundowners on the covered verandah, with views of mountains. Reservoir for summer swims. Giant lawn for late afternoon boulles. Braai area with mosaic-ed benches and stone angels Free firewood provided
A nature-lovers’ dream: Birds and butterflies are regular visitors among the indigenous mountain plants; in winter, the mists roll in and snow may fall; in summer, expect flowers, fruit, and pink-gold sunsets. Multiple options for the energetic: Run or walk along the bluff alongside Trengwainton; hike or horseride in the surrounding Amathole mountains and forests; hire bicycles for dirt road adventures. Abseiling and archery are options too! Trengwainton is close to the Edge and the Eco Shrine.
