Your hosts are the owners Melody and Raynard Ferreira, we both live on the property a few kilometers away. Raynard farms with Pigs, Chickens, Goats and Cattle. We grow Fig, Peaches and Apple trees on the property. The farm is truly safe and wonderful to walk, run or cycle short hikes on the property. You are a few minutes drive away from most of the popular attractions in the Panorama route. Raynard and Melody are passionate people, always willing to please and give their clients a warm welcome and ready to assist with any issues. The Treur River Lodge is an Eco Lodge situated on a historic heritage farm of Paul Kruger. The voortrekkers lived on the farm, and mourned at the river and that is how it got its name. There is a small waterfall and a few swimming spots where people can swim. The river is safe, with no hippos or crocodiles. Each Chalet has a balcony viewing the river and has a barbeque facility, with 2 chairs and a coffee table. We have 3 Chalets that sleeps two people on a queen size bed and 2 Chalets that sleep a family of 4, with one double bed and a bunkbed. Each Chalet is equipped with a coffee station, pedestals with one night light, wardrobe, toilet and shower facility. We are off the grid and use and old fashioned water heating system, to ensure warm water in each unit. The river is super clean and the water is drinkable. The lodge is right next to the Chubby Pig Restaurant which is owned also by us, serving the best unique South African cuisine food and diverse exciting drinks. Clients may swim in the river as it is safe and truly refreshing. I think that beautiful silence and bird life, mountains and river makes our place unique and feels like a little piece of heaven.

The property is 28km away from Graskop, the closest town. The farm is surrounded by Pine tree forests, mountains, wild horses and lots of waterfalls. We are 3km from the next village where the Bourke's Luck Potholes are situated, and 26km drive away from the Blyderiver Canyon and Three Rondavels. We are one hour away from Hoedspruit and 45mins away from Hazyview and Sabie.
