Vale2Vaal is a little piece of paradise in a large tranquil garden setting on the banks of the Vaal River in the district of Parys. It provides individual groups a private and exclusive getaway from the big city, offering sole use of jacuzzi /splash pool and canoes and a quiet fishing spot, whilst still offering close proximity to the historic town of Parys. Accommodation consists of 3 identical suites each with two inter-leading bedrooms and a bathroom on the upper level, comfortably sleeping 4 people, with extra sleeper couches and a set of bunk beds available for additional guests. The well equipped kitchen, dining and lounge areas are on the lower level. There is ample outdoor seating on the patio with gas and charcoal braai's. A fire-pit off the patio encourages late nights of socializing with friends and family. The entertainment area around the heated jaccuzzi / splash pool also offers a cozy self-service bar with fridge/freezer, (plastic) glasses as well as a music centre.
Freddie and Dianne van Zyl are ex-Edenvalers, (hence the name Vale2Vaal) having moved to Parys to escape the bustling Gauteng lifestyle. Hosts had spent the previous 15 years entertaining friends and family on the property, and decided to turn something that came naturally, into a business. Hosts live on the property and are available should guests need any assistance.
Parys is 20km away, on a gravel road that is sometimes a game drive in itself. Neighbouring farms stock a number of different buck as well as giraffe and zebra. It is not uncommon to encounter the lone black-backed jackal, barn owl or porcupine on an evening drive to Vale2Vaal. The haunting cry of the fish eagle is a sound to behold, as is the variety of other birdlife on the property.
