Escape to Wellstead, a solar-powered off-grid farm home on a serene 20-hectare smallholding in the heart of Champagne Valley, Central Drakensberg. Just 25km from Winterton, surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery. Sleeps 11 across 4 bedrooms, with a Kolkol wood-fired hot tub, flat screen TV, and uncapped Wi-Fi. Base rate covers up to 8 guests - groups of 9-11 welcome at R300 per person per night. Pet-friendly upon request. Cleaning: Cleaning is included on every 2nd/3rd day for each 4 nights booked (excl. Public Holidays and Sundays). Additional cleaning is R350 per day and must be requested 48 hrs in advance (subject to availability). Sundays and Public Holidays are double the rate (R700 per day). Damage Protection: This property is protected by LekkerGuest, our guest verification and damage protection partner. After the booking is confirmed, guests will receive a link to complete a quick verification and must choose either of the following options: Option 1 - Security Deposit: A fully refundable R5,000 hold (a service fee equivalent to R47 is charged additionally). Option 2 - Damage Waiver: A non-refundable R600 fee providing R7,500 in accidental damage cover. Loadshedding: Wellstead runs entirely on solar power and operates completely off the grid. To ensure a comfortable stay for everyone, we kindly ask guests to be mindful of their electricity usage, particularly at night and during cloudy weather when solar generation is lower. Dam: There are two dams on the property. The larger dam which is ideal for swimming currently has a leak, so swimming will not be possible at this time. Note: - The property is not fully enclosed, and the neighbouring friendly dog may pop in to say hello! - Firewood is not supplied. You are welcome to purchase wood locally for both the fireplace and the Kolkol wood-fired hot tub.
