The innkeeper was exceedingly helpful. I was beginning a bicycle tour of the Main river without a map or navigation system (I had thought the signage of the corresponding bike path route would suffice. I was wrong). Upon hearing this tale of woe, the innkeeper loaned me a guide book of the Main Radweg tour, trusting I would return it to her by post once I had safely finished the tour, which I did. She also rustled up a dinner for me when I arrived on my bike late in the evening wet from a rainy day ride to the Inn from Kulmbach (further up north) after the kitchen had closed.
