The Posada Rio Cubas is awesome. Very beautiful, close to nature and the staff is extremely attentive. They gave us great tips on places to visit around Cantabria. It is also well located, quite close to the sea side Somo beach and to Santander. You need a car of course. Very recommended

I love these kinds of hotels in Spain, the rural and out-of-the-way ones, owned by a family, where the service and attention are extraordinary...and this hotel is right in that genre, a 10/10! The location is splendid. The reception is welcoming. The rooms and bathrooms are spotless, and the breakfast was terrific. I had the best chat with the owner over my delicious, cooked-to-order breakfast, talking about interesting things to do and see around the property, and then just shooting the breeze about life. It was both a lovely and connected experience, and is one of the reasons I love to travel and stay in places just like this. Highly recommended!

This is such a cute little hotel with super friendly staff. The location is a little remote, which also means that it is really quiet at night. I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely recommend it if you're in the area!

The host was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful wall of windows with nice view. Very updated. I only was there a brief time so can’t comment on breakfast.
