Location was great (exactly where I needed to be and not too far from Manningtree station). Staff were incredibly kind and the ‘room’ turned out to be a full apartment (which was a nice surprise!). Would definitely recommend to others, and I will hopefully be back next time I’m in the area.

If you want a genuine British Pub experience then this is it. There are no TVs in the Pub. Cell phones are frowned upon. Instead you're encouraged to have a pint and interact with locals. The rooms are small but very charming. The patio and gardens are lovely. The Publican (Kevin) and his wife are endlessly entertaining and if you chat with the locals you'll find them the same.
