This hotel in Heilly is convenient to a visit to the Somme WWI commemorative sites. The staff was friendly and helpful with good English. The room was nicely sized, very clean, and comfortable. Free parking was available outside the room door. Make a reservation and have dinner in their restaurant, which is located across the parking area from the room. It was excellent. Breakfast is available for a very reasonable fee, and included juice, coffee, breads and baked goods. They delivered it to our room the night before, so no problem with scheduling. I would happily stay here again.

I was not familiar with the area and was trying to book something near the city center. However, despite the location, it was still a great place. There was parking, which is always good. The room was upstairs and the stairway was narrow, so be careful if you aren't good with stairs. The room was nice, and there was a fan - bonus!! The windows faced the street so it was a little loud with traffic, but once we laid down we fell asleep because we had walked all day. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was fantastic!! I would highly recommend Le Vivier - the price was good, the bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. But, make sure you bring a washcloth or soap sponge - that is something I found that most hotels do not have.
