This place is literally in the middle of nowhere, and that's why we chose it. You certainly need a car to reach, otherwise seems impossible. The property is huge and it's all green and luscious. The backdrop is a huge lake and there are three "pontons" you can swim from (if you are ok with the temperature of the water). It's absolutely stunning and it's a pleasure to walk around. There's a breakfast buffet every morning. It's quite decent and has a bit of everything. We thought there was a kitchen (as it's kind of a campsite) but to our surprise, it's a private kitchen. They allowed us to use it to warm some food but there's not such facility in the main house. There are a few more houses around that are fully equipped. It's an amazing place!

Second time visiting, as a room happened to open up last second. Hosts are very helpful, central location, and very reasonable rates make Portoss a great pick. Breakfast available for a small fee is warm and filling. Appreciate that they welcomes our small dog too!
