My girlfriend and I were doing a tour of Austria and we wanted a calm place to simply switch off and relax. Imlauer Hotel Schloss Pichlarn was an excellent choice. We actually liked it so much that we stayed an extra night. We chose the breakfast and dinner option. I have to say that the price was more than fair for Austria during the peak summer season. The entire experience was incredible. The hotel had organized transport for us from the train station. The staff was really polite (especially Patrick). Everything was really clean and the view from the winter garden is incredible. There are a lot of visitors who go there to play golf, but there are a lot of other experiences to be had. We went on a day trip to Hallstatt. It is just 45 minutes by train. You can also do day trips to other lakes. Much better than going from Salzburg. It was really an incredible experience that I will remember for a very long time. I highly recommend it. Also, don't forget to go on a quest and visit the local chicken farm. There is an automated store where you can buy local delicacies from the farmers!

From the moment we arrived, we received a warm welcome from the staff. The property offers ample parking, a safe environment, and a peaceful setting that made for a very relaxing stay. The staff was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout our visit, making the experience feel personal and genuinely hospitable. The spa facilities were excellent and a highlight of our stay. We also enjoyed the continental breakfast, which offered a nice variety of options, including delicious fresh-baked bread each morning. The hotel restaurant exceeded our expectations. The garlic cream soup and schnitzel were outstanding—so much so that we chose to dine there both evenings. The quality of the food, combined with the attentive service, made for a wonderful dining experience. Overall, a charming property that delivers comfort, excellent service, and a memorable guest experience. We would gladly return.

My family loved our stay on the Stocker family farm in April 2026. My kids loved meeting the horses, bunnies and friendly cat. The owner took my kids for horse rides and they loved it. The unique sauna with outside cold shower was so fun. We grilled our dinner on the rustic outside wood-fired barbecue under the stars. The apartment was comfortable with all of the equipment needed to cook meals, as well as a fridge, freezer and microwave. We bought groceries at the Eurostar a few minutes down the road. The Appartment Iris provided far more than any hotel. If you have any questions, message the owner on WhatsApp. He spoke English and made the stay comfortable, easy, and special. If you are looking for a unique experience to enjoy the beautiful Austrian alps countryside, I highly recommend staying at Appartment Iris!
