The Buffet at breakfast was very good with a variety of choice. however, I do think that teas and coffees should be served in teapots and coffee containers instead of self service. It would also be nice for toast to be served instead of having to wait in line to use the toaster.

It’s historic character and modern comfort. It has a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere and is beautifully decorated and furnished without being “smart” and “boutique”. Lovely spa area although the sauna was disappointingly not up to temperature. Thoughtful touches in the room such as a teapot and a bottle of water, and a complimentary paper The staff are delightful and attentive but not obtrusive.

It's a pretty building. The staff were friendly. The spa was nice, a bit hot but I personally liked it, although it could do with a few more loungers. We were given a room upgrade as we were celebrating our anniversary, which was sweet and appreciated. The local sparkling wine was lovely. The lounging spaces were cozy.

Wonderful historic building. Beautiful period features. Roaring log fire. Lovely spa with Stan room, sauna, jacuzzi, 14m pool and relaxing poolside chairs. Outside sun trap which was warm enough to sit out even in late October. The food was very good quality at dinner and breakfast.
