A nice ryokan with a nice onsen. Very hospitable staff. The free milk/coffee/pudding service at the lounge is a nice touch, especially the fresh milk is very creamy and delicious. They served the famous Zao beef for dinner which was delicious. The room is huge and comfortable with all the amenities

My friend and I recently stayed at this newly opened accommodation, and it was a fantastic experience. The host was incredibly friendly and made us feel completely at home throughout our stay. The facilities are excellent, featuring everything you could need, including a traditional onsen—a perfect way to relax after a day of exploring or skiing. The room was spacious, and the futon bed was extremely comfortable. The location is unbeatable! Situated on the historical Takayu Street, it’s surrounded by charming shops, restaurants, and onsens. It’s also super convenient for skiing enthusiasts—just a 7-minute walk to Zao Base Center Jupeer, Uwanadai Slope, and Zao Chuo Ropeway. Plus, the Zao bus terminal is only 3 minutes away on foot. Don’t miss the restaurant “Ringoya” on-site, which serves absolutely delicious food.

The staff and food were amazing. The manager was extremely friendly and helped with local tips and generally made our trip smooth and care free. The chef had an excellent menu for both breakfast and dinner. Each meal was different and delicious. We felt right at home and really enjoyed the games available in the lounge, music, fire place, and Yuki the lodge dog. Don’t miss the hot tub to recover from the slopes!

It's a little hard to find at first, but all you hear is nature. Domomo barely had a signal, and Softbank was not much better. Next to the river, what a relaxing sound. Best night of sleep in years, if not decades. There are two dogs so if you are allergic, do not go. They are friendly and full of love and might I say, spoiled! My partner is Japanese and he said this experience is authentic. Steve is very personable and welcoming. Note: I believe up to 10 guests can be housed (verify with Steve to be sure).

The location of this property cant be beat. You walk up the street about a minute or so, and youre at the slope, which you ride down to the lift. Its also about a 5 min walk to Lawsons as well as several great restaurants. There are 3 natural onsen within the same vicinity. Also, the owner of the property is one of the kindest and most hospitable hosts Ive encountered. He went out of his way to ensure I had what I needed and was comfortable staying there. Very friendly, easy to talk to, and makes for great conversation. The breakfast is also fantastic--its a full Japanese-style breakfast (fish, rice, vegetables) which doesnt vibe well w/ some folks, but its delicious.
