United StatesMe and my 14 year old son planned to go on a 7days road trip around sogndal and selected this place as a resting place. We stayed there for 3 nights. But I've to say, I loved this place so much and I canceled the last days program to just enjoy the beautiful scenery around it Foggy mountains, backwaters, grass roofs, listening to music of nature, really it was pleasant and refreshing day of whole trip.
Breakfast, it's next level, everything homemade and hand made by the host, home baked bread, fresh fruit juice, butter, 3 varieties of jam and marmalade, hard boiled eggs .... ...arranged just for us
After coming back to US my son was saying, we need to go again. We loved this place

Great hospitality in wonderful surroundings.
The stay was fabulous.
At least if you like nature I can only recommend to stay there.
Clean and spacious rooms and very comfortable beds.
Great breakfast and try the dinner option.

The location, the atmosphere and coziness of the rooms. Access to a well-equipped common kitchen and kettle in the room. Bathrobes were much appreciated!

The property was wonderfully comfortable and immediately made us relax. The house is beautiful and stylish. Our three teenage sons loved staying in the large bedroom with beds in the alcoves. They had a brilliant time. Everything we needed was there and I caught up the the washing! My husband loved having a fire. The hosts could not have been more kind.

Beautifully kept, very clean and well maintained. Authentic country side Scandinavian experience with beautiful scenery and waterfalls / trails surrounding the property — making for easy / relaxed hikes in the Gaularfjellet region.
It’s an old farmhouse. So the kitchen and bathroom are detached. That’s a nice to have, but not a major inconvenience.

We had a wonderful stay at Flatheim. First we've booked for two nights and then expended to total four nights. Flatheim is a lovely and quiet space surrounded by beautiful nature. We loved our cozy apartment. A place to fully undwind and relax. Sigurd was very friendly, helpful and forthcoming. He cooked us two delicious dinners at Flatheim and breakfast was fresh and very nice too. Flatheim is right next to the Waterfall Trail Fossestien, which is worth a beautiful easy walk or long hike. We can recommend Flatheim very much.
