first off, check your expectations and your attitude( I stayed at 3 different places in san pedro during my stay, and some visitors need some empathy LOL), the place is superb. You have to understand it is not most welcoming terrain. Great rooms, Juanita and staff are superb. Spanish helps. also need a car or have to keep requesting ride to main street.

The Holiday Inn Express Antofagasta was a great choice. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. There was parking in a parking garage under the hotel, so the car was secured. There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and the beach was nearby.

I love the location; it was one block from the center of San Pedro, so it was pretty close to all the restaurants and commerce but had a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast was included, and when the tours were too early to have breakfast, they packed it for us to take away. The room was clean and offered cleaning service each day if you like.
