The location and the good taste. The friendship of the people and the breakfast outside. Perfect!! We stay in a duplex directly to the street. Beautiful. There are others rooms also very nice.

Giuseppe was a wonderful host making sure we were taken care of. Made lunch reservations and when we woke up we had fresh local pastries and mine gluten free waiting for us Will definitely be going again.

We had a lovely stay Magnificat Luxury Rooms and the host Daniele was most accommodating and very kind. He secured us a parking spot in the morning of our arrival (free) and waited for us until we navigated there. Then he loaded our luggage in his car and took us to our accommodations. There is a lovely modern foyer/entry way which was a surprise from the outside of the building looks historic! Our room was GORGEOUS, a mix of old and new - stone and plaster with gold accents, furniture and lighting. The HUGE jetted tub was a nice touch and open to the room. There is a small table and chair area next to it for your morning coffee. The views from the balcony were beautiful! The location is perfect for exploring Matera. There are many restaurants and cafes near by. We even found a lovely wine shop with the kindest proprietor and we bought a lovely bottle of Puglia white to enjoy on the balcony, after a long day of walking. The room is very quiet and bed very comfortable. The full bathroom was large as well and well appointed. We hope to return to the fascinating city of Matera again some day and would love to stay in Magnificat Rooms again. We highly recommend!

The entire experience including quality and design of property, service, ceremonies, breakfast, and massage with Daniella were the top!! Every small detail is very well thought through! The location of this boutique hotel is on the edge of the Sassi Matera, the preserved area. It is right across the street from the covered car park. So we didn't have to go very far with our bags, no cobblestones to negotiate. The Sassi is just behind the BnB and within 10mins walk of a good number of cafes and restaurants. The rooms were comfortable and clean, very tastefully decorated with walls decorated by paintings of local flowers. The hosts are super friendly; we even met their mother who lives within the hotel but in a separate area.

Francesco is an amazing host - above and beyond- truly. He was very responsive- allowed us to drop our luggage at the door and then he came with us to park our car (a few minutes away free street parking). He gave us great recommendations for dinner and a walking tour of the sassi. Can’t say enough. Amazing place. Great view. Fabulous host. Parking worked well. He kept our luggage. 11 out of 10. Book it!

Lovely studio apartment in the Centro Storico of Matera. Very comfortable bed, beautiful modern bathroom, fantastic location. Everything was very clean and the shower had plenty of hot water! There were several excellent restaurants within a 5-minute walk of the room and it’s only a 10- minute walk to the new city of Matera. But a word of caution: The Sassi di Matera area would be challenging for anyone with mobility issues. Many stairs, uneven cobbles everywhere in the Centro Storico. But that is also part of the charm of this town.
