Starting point for the tour.Beautiful city, people are positive and cheerful. Food is great. Big city that has a rich history and a new modern side. Definitely a city to visit and explore. Football fans also have a reason to come. Two beautiful stadiums, one near the airport (Metropolitan), and the other in the modern part of the city (Bernabéu).

Beautiful and in a great neighborhood for walking and dining in the evening. Check out San Miguel Market nearby for a wonderful selection of tapas and drinks from many restauranteurs all under one rooof.

All roads lead to Plaza Mayor.
All roads lead to Plaza Mayor. Enjoy the ambience, wander around, take plenty of photos but do not buy anything. Over priced tourist tat. Do not be tempted to wander into any cafe, bar or restaurant - over priced and not the real Spain. Make an effort to go where the locals go and you'll see the difference.

Magnificent Plaza.
Magnificent Plaza. Just go get a cup of coffee and people watch for 2 hours. That's why I would do again and again. Great Architecture, great atmosphere, just a great place to watch the world go by.

We had a wonderful stay. The location is perfect, with Gran Vía, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, the Royal Palace, and many restaurants and shops just a short walk away. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and very helpful.

The location, and the cleanliness of the entire hotel. All hotels should have the same Housekeeping staff as the Catalonia Plaza Mayor.

The staff at the desk and the breakfast room were friendly and very efficient. The breakfast was well stocked with lots of choices. This historic hotel is well placed between the Plaza del Sol and the Plaza Mayor where you can dine and shop for souvenirs, find taxis etc.

This is a beautiful, modern apartment in a fantastic location of central Madrid! I was so pleasantly surprised - completely exceeded my expectations! The apartment is spotlessly clean, reasonably priced, and super convenient for a tourist stay. It is around the corner from the Mercado de San Miguel, 3 min walk to la Plaza Mayor, 5 min walk to la Puerta del Sol (and the metro line). Also, the owners are very friendly and answer messages quickly.
I will most definitely stay here again on my next trip to Madrid!

Everything was amazing. The staff were very polite. The apartment was clean with a lot of space. The location is excellent. You are 1min away to the Sol station and Plaza Mayor. I will choose this place again if I have to stay in Madrid.

The location was perfect in gran via the Main Street in Madrid, close to everything, plaza mayor is around 8 min walking, 5 min walking and you can walk in the old town, almost all shops in gran via street, the hop on hop off station just in front of the hotel

El hotel estaba muy cómodo tenía un buen aire acondicionado que se agradece mucho en los tiempos calurosos en Madrid. Muy buena seguridad, hay que introducir 3 códigos para acceder al hotel por lo que se siente muy seguro. La locación es muy buena solo cruzando la calle está uno en el Barrio de las Letras y a 10 minutos de la plaza Mayor. También se puede caminar cómodamente a la Gran Vía y está muy cerca del Museo del Prado.
