Hotels near Monastiraki Train Station, Athens

The Artisan Suites staff (which manages Epitome) we’re extremely helpful and helping me arrange rooms and complete transfers from ferries to airport. They made staying here, drama, free and a pleasure.

What an incredible stay I had at Ancient Agora Plaka. My host, Alice and her husband were beautiful, kind people and the gorgeous concierge/manager was amazing also - thank you all! It’s worth mentioning that their families restaurant downstairs was the perfect go to breakfast spot (and dinner on a few occasions). The location was also absolutely fantastic, being right across the path from the incredible ‘Ancient Agora’. I also must mention how well I slept. Ow my goodness, my mattress was so comfortable and the pillows felt very high end, and the bedding and sheets were crisp and clean. Everything was fabulous! I’m looking forward to coming back back again soon 🤩

Everything was great. Wonderful, well equipped, large and comfortable room. Staff were exceptionally helpful and really caring. We loved the location- so close to everything, but also so quiet. Breakfast was good- large choice of local produce was appreciated

Greta location. 5 min walk to all the restaurants. 5-10min walk to Monestaraki square and Ermou shopping street. Natasha from the front desk was really very kind and helpful. Decent breakfast spread.

The location is perfect, near metro and near everything you might want to see in Athens. The bed was comfortable, the guy at the reception was very kind and came to help us out with the code in the rain. The highlight was an amazing breakfast with lots of choices and the view of the Parthenon.

We had a great experience with A for Athens! The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Monastiraki, with one of the best views of the Acropolis in the city. Unfortunately, the rooftop bar was closed for renovation during our visit, but the staff handled the situation wonderfully, allowing us to have the breakfast right across the street, at another wonderful restaurant with same magnificent view of the Acropolis. It was a really nice gesture and much appreciated. Even with the temporary closure, the atmosphere of the place, the professionalism of the staff, and the prime location made a very positive impression on us. Their hospitality and attention to guests truly stood out. Highly recommend A for Athens and would definitely return!

The design of rooms and hotels is really well thought, also the readiness of the hosts to give a hand is exceptional. Furthermore the organization of the hotel is easy and so really uncomplicated. As extra point the cafe downstairs is magnificent!

The decor and vibe of this place was amazing. The music playing in the room, a bottle of bubbles waiting for you, the kindness and helpfulness of the staff was unmatched. I would come back just for the rooftop breakfast. It was also in a prime location and walking distance to anything you would want to do in Athens. I cannot wait to stay again.

Central location, close to everything Clean and convenient

It was very clean, the location is perfect and couldn’t ask for a better location. The is no reception but the staff answered on WhatsApp for everything we needed, even late at night. The room is big with a lot of space and the balcony is very nice. Didn’t hear noise from the street
