Rondane is a bit different from other areas and sometimes...

Rondane is a bit different from other areas and sometimes referred to the most beautiful mountains in Norway, a country with a lot of beauty, that is some accolade. It has a 'wide open space' feel to it. Feels like 'Little Alaska ' or New Zealand and a bit more wild and less visited than some other areas, or so it feels. It's countryside with lakes and rivers. Fishing opportunities look amazing, mining history fascinating. Walking and getting back to basics is Rondane. Probably drier and more sheltered than some other areas. When I got onto the Rondane plateau, my first reaction was, "Wow, that's different". There's many very interesting places not far from Rondane as well so never a dull moment. Rondane is a little further away from the cities and maybe that's why it feels a little 'undiscovered'.
