Avoid this tourist trap at any cost.

Avoid this tourist trap at any cost. Small, crowded and unappealing beach with hordes of hustlers and too many people. Water was of grayish shade, not worth visiting if compared to other stunning locations in the Philippines. Just awful.

Comes alive at night, with the beach lined with restaurants. Great place to relax in a beach cafe/restaurant and watch the day go buy. The beach was calm and like a lake (when we were there). So, easy access for snorkeling. Lots of diving and snorkeling companies, but we did not have time to go. I think to truly appreciate the beauty of the Island you need go on a boat tour. Tons of people offering massages.

Alona beach is really for drinking or eating on the beach to view the sea. its very shallow so it isnt great for a proper swim, which is a shame as Pangloa and area is really great, and affordable for Philippines. we love the town.

Love the vibe. It may seem far but it isn't that far really from Alona beach where the life of the island is. I could get there in 3 to 5 minutes by motorbike that I also rented from the hotel. Room's quite spacious, minimalist but really comfortable.

I was the first customer to stay at this stand alone private Villa and what a great value. It was only minutes away from Alona beach and yet all the privacy of staying in the quiet countryside. No traffic no hotels or neighbors on all sides. Truly amazing, I wish we could have stayed longer. Next time for sure. On a scale of 1-10 I give it a 12!

Since the property is set back from both the beach and the main road, the hotel provides a complimentary shuttle to the Alona Beach area — a handy perk that offsets the distance. There's also a decent on-site restaurant for added convenience. A solid budget pick overall — just don't expect ocean views or a sea breeze.

The staff here are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make sure your stay is wonderful. You can order breakfast at anytime and they will deliver it to your room with no charge. The beds are comfortable and the hot shower is great. Not all hotels in the Philippines have hot showers. We have extended our stay here twice. It's a 100 pesos ride into Alona Beach. There is a store across the street. It really is a great place to stay.
