The hotel is located in a nice district, in a new building, with all new facilities, very friendly stuff, super relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. Very happy to choose this hotel because I liked the room - it was super clean, new and fresh, large window, very comfortable mattress, special home like design of the room, everything was functioning well. I need to tell separately about food, we had dinner and breakfast- huge variety of different food for different taste and diet. I am on keto (no sugar, low carbs) & vegetarian- imagine, they got all of the necessary food for those cruel diets, I was able to eat full fledged meal. Also, they have huge variety of non-gluten and lactose free food and drinks. All the food was highest quality and served in a well designed and beautiful hall -restaurant. That was really enjoyable and relaxing atmosphere. From the other options we weren’t able to use and taste were sauna and fika (local coffee), it was very pleasant that hotel included those as free of charge in our stay. So happy to taste those during my next stay with this hotel. Someone wrote that the hotel is distant from Center. I would say that it is nearer than was my expectations. You will need to use public transport, but it takes maximum 30 min to reach to the hotel from the center, and it is not so complicated as you can select from many bus options. And it is not expensive as the single ticket you buy is valid for 75 min, so you don’t have to buy any additional tickets. Besides, before going to Citi center you might also check museum island, we visited ABBA museum, which was not far from the hotel (1 bus stop and 1 stop with boat transport- both were taken with 1 ticket).

I had a truly wonderful stay at Hotel Rival in Stockholm. From the moment I arrived, Cecilia from the front staff was warm, attentive, and professional, making me feel immediately welcome. My room was spotless, beautifully designed, and very comfortable, with thoughtful details that made a real difference. The hotel’s location is excellent for exploring the city, and I loved how peaceful and relaxing it felt once I was back at the property. Breakfast was a highlight – fresh, varied, and delicious, with something for every taste.

The Stockholm Stadshotell is - without exaggerating - one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. We chose this hotel because of its location (Södermalm, highly recommended, not too touristy, but lively with lots of restaurants, terraces and other nice places) and the beautiful minimalist Scandinavian interior. We got so much more than we had expected. Starting with the rooms: the beds are large and comfortable with very soft bedding. Our bathroom was spacious with a lovely shower. Everything was clearly brand new, and the styling has been thought out down to the last detail. Also nice: a well-stocked minibar with good snacks and drinks (among others olives, popcorn, champagne). The facilities are also very good. There is a sauna (including a cold bath) which you can reserve for yourself for 1.5 hours (even the sauna area is styled to perfection). On the beautiful terrace at the front of the hotel, you can enjoy one of the many cocktails served in the bar (from classics to new discoveries). And I would definitely recommend going to the hotel restaurant (for either breakfast or dinner). The restaurant has a nice bistro vibe and the food is prepared with love and of good quality (we especially enjoyed the croissant and French toast during the breakfast). Finally: the service is top-notch and personal. The hotel staff is sweet and interesed: they like to chat, ask how your day was when you return at the hotel. This kind of personal contact is something we don't see that often anymore in hotels. Tea or coffee will be brought to your room upon request and as an extra touch (for Midsommar) we received flowers in our room. Long story short: if you're going to Stockholm, stay at this hotel!

I had an accident before arriving to Stockholm so I couldn't visit all places we plan, I had to use a wheelchair but all we saw was beautiful. We'll definitely come back in better shape to visit all! Heads-up: city in general is prepared for reduced mobility visitor but a standard wheelchair is not ideal -lots of old streets specially in old town (Gamla)

Stockholm is a wonderful city where history blends...

Stockholm is a wonderful city where history blends seamlessly with modern comfort and a genuine commitment to people's well-being. It offers museums, culture to suit every taste, and countless places to explore and relax. However, visitors should keep in mind that Stockholm is one of the most expensive cities in Europe. That said, the quality of the services and products generally matches the price. With its approximately 30,000 islands, around 200 of which are inhabited, Stockholm feels like a fairytale brought to life. The city's extensive network of ferries, connecting its many islands, gives it a character reminiscent of Venice and makes travelling around both convenient and enjoyable.

Loved the city and never missed my fika time! Stockholm offers so many things and I was afraid I would have missed something. Sooner or later I'll come back and I'll visit all the places I could have not included in my solo trip. I suggest staying at least 3/4 days. If you want to try the traditional Köttbullar, go to Pelikan restaurant!

I really liked Sweden.

I really liked Sweden. People were reasonably friendly although aloof. They don't like sharing lift space. I also found it odd that not most don't say "thank you" if you, say, hold a door open. It was very clean. The roads were palatial compared to those in the UK. It was very expensive compared to the UK, so bring extra cash. The public transport is excellent and very efficient, so very easy to get around. I did enjoy the food. The fish was so delicious and I loved the Swedish meatballs although they weren't hot enough - just like the ones in IKEA here. It's a beautiful place and very tranquil. I can definitely see why my relative has decided to make it their adopted home. Hopefully I'll see more of it on my next visit.

We had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Hotel Karlaplan - the staff were very friendly, the breakfast superb and the location is brilliant (a quiet street and a pleasant 20min walk into the centre of Stockholm.). There is also the added bonus of the lovely outdoor seating area at the back of the property, we loved having our breakfast there (it was very warm when we were there). One of the best hotels we have stayed in. Unlike anything else. The hotel alone, a reason to come back to Stockholm. Not only beautiful design at every turn by Ilse Crawford, with so many nooks and places to rest and read books or relax. the generosity at every level is extraordinary – products and amenity, flowers, candles, fragrance & beauty.
