We feel like Villa Tortuga is our home away from home in Costa Rica. The pool and outdoor gathering area are nice. Hammocks outside our front door provide hours of relaxing entertainment, the kitchen is well equipped, and I so appreciate the ladies that clean up after us, and run our loads of laundry! And of course Dave and the Frog Pad are great! With the beach just steps away, who could want more.

A cozy, beautiful boutique hotel in a very quiet neighborhood, just about a 10-minute walk from the stunning Samara Beach.

The property is beautiful. The grounds are immaculate. The property is a little bit older but it's well maintained. One of the biggest issues in Costa Rica with rooms is the smell of the humidity, that kind of mildewy smell. This place didn't have a single bit of that smell and it's rainy season. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and the air conditioner was cold. The breakfast was delivered to my little patio. Really a wonderful place.

The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. They even went out of their way to get friends to jump our car battery after our car died. Breakfast was great and the views were amazing!
