Had an awesome visit! There are SO many great sodas and places to eat at in town, we didn't necessarily want to pay for included breakfast. The kitchenette was perfect, and we could re-heat leftovers etc, but it really felt more like staying at our own place. We hardly saw another person (staff or guests, but we know they were there!) the whole time, and it was so peaceful. Staff was very responsive to questions via Whatsapp, and the instructions for getting in and out of the gate/ parking area/ keys etc were very clear.

This is one of those special places in the world—and unfortunately, there are not so many—that delights your senses, fills your heart, and feeds your soul. I don’t even have words to describe the few days I spent at Cecropia other than to say: Don’t hesitate to book here. The food, the conversations, the jungle, the night walk.. all was the highlight of my time in Costa Rica. Cecropia is a place to be experienced, not checked off a list. Lying in bed listening to rain pound the roof. Hiking up to the wooden observatory to do morning yoga. Watching the birds flock to the feeders as you eat an absolutely delicious breakfast. I will never forget my time at Cecropia.

A fantastic property away from the tourist trail. The sleeping accommodations are simple but functional. The main living building is so very comfortable with very cool sitting areas, games, and exceptional views. The family also owns a restaurant with the best smoked meats I ever had in my life.

Very friendly owners. We had lengthy interesting talks with Jorge. Also nice dinner in their restaurant down the road. Spacious lodge and also real big shared open living with views over the area.

The Lodge had everything you could want when exploring a rainforest in Costa Rica! Free morning walks with a guide, plenty of trails for independent exploring, tractor rides through the grounds, free buffet style breakfast, delicious options for lunch and supper, comfortable pool and hot tub, gorgeous room with a view of Lake Arenal, and much more! This was my favorite place we visited while in Costa Rica and I could not give it enough compliments. Everyone was so kind and I would recommend it 10/10!

Absolutely beautiful views. The staff was very friendly and responded to all my messages via what'sapp right away. The lodge is very cute, small and quiet, and I love how clean and well-kept it is. Thought it was pretty cool they had brown labs as tour guides. The breakfast was good and great options.

The breakfast was great - a full meal, either typical Costa Rican breakfast or pancakes & eggs, + coffee/tea. Very well worth it especially from a cost perspective! The grounds were also so beautiful, well-maintained garden path to each lodge. The family can also help arrange transportation & recommend tours (though pricing may be a bit higher than taxis). This was also the only place we stayed in Costa Rica that actually had hot water for the shower! AC is also very updated/strong.

It was the highlight of our non successful trip to Poás volcano (we had clouds). The staff were super helpful and friendly, the lodge was spacious and cosy, we liked how you have a tv with netflix etc so that you have entertainment in bad weather. Our first glamping trip and we loved it here

Absolutely SPECTACULAR! I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough - just book it as you will not be disappointed. The journey is a bit of effort to get along the entry road (definitely get a larger hire car!) but worth absolutely every second of effort. We were welcomed and had amazing food, watching a plethora of birds - saw red eye tree frogs in the evening, hummingbirds, the view from the look out over the rainforest will stay with me forever. Just book this eco lodge!

We enjoyed the remoteness of the lodge from the bustling tourist hot spot of La Fortuna, as well as the remoteness of our bungalow (with jungle view) from all the rest of the bungalows on site. Breakfasts were good, and a booked evening dinner was excellent. The view of Arenal volcano is mentioned in virtually every review of this accommodation, and with good reason - nothing better than sitting with a bottle of red watching the sun go down and the volcano slowly disappearing into the dark and the gathering cloud.

The lodges are very comfortable. The ceiling fan works really well at keeping the room cool. The restaurant is nice and there are bird feeders next to the dining area where you can watch the birds as you eat. There is a small forest and garden area. They have more feeders in the garden which attracts a good variety of birds.

The location set in the rainforest is so beautiful. While most of the route to the lodge is now paved, the last few kilometres is still on a gravel track. You feel that you are at one with nature. As a wildlife photographer I feel this is one of the best lodges to capture the amazing birds that visit the feeders Adolpho made us feel extremely welcome
