The cabinas are located away from the city in a peaceful, quiet rural area that was blissful...full of exotic birds, magnificent rolling green hills, and the quiet was interrupted only by the sound of a mooing cow now and then. Bliss. Breakfast was delicious, prepared by a smiling Maria. I would definitely return to this lovely place!

This is a gem of a place which we highly recommend! El Sol enjoys magnificent views of the hills down to the plain being situated a couple of miles out of town where it is definitely warmer, sunnier and less wet. There are interesting gardens (plenty of birds) and a super pool area where you can swim, relax and watch the sunset in the evening. There are six different cabins, we stayed in three, all laid out with anything you might need with sunny views, one with a jacuzzi perched over the valley. The breakfast is superb and supper is available being tasty and convenient after a long day of sightseeing, alternatively there are plenty of suggestions to eat out. . Nothing is too much for Javier and Sian and their happy team. We liked El Sol so much that on our last night in Costa Rica we checked out of another hotel and came back to El Sol instead!
