Over many years traveling through South America I have not found a place like this. A unique combination of pristine location right a the river with access for swimming, beautiful clean rooms, excellent vegetarian meals and a genuine ecological commitment paired with a know how of the owners of the area which is a great plus. Javier and Claudia not only manage the property, they also lead a number of excellent and great value activities. I went on hikes and did several other experiences which were all outstanding. Highly recommend staying a Chirapa Manta either individually or part of a retreat.

The lodge is on the edge of the town. It’s really close to jungle and the river but it’s still easy & safe to walk in to the centre. The rooms are immaculate & it’s run like a high end hotel. Breakfast is delightful. The sounds of the jungle come in through the wire mesh windows. I’m still here I’ve booked extra nights unwilling to leave. The best value & quality I’ve had in Peru
