The check-in was super easy with Lisa greeting us at the restaurant. She is a very friendly host. The venison soup dinner basket was splendid - a perfect treat after a long day hike. We forgot to leave the keys after checking out, and only found out on our hike out to Nikkalouta. Lisa was very understanding and instructed us to leave the keys at the mountain station for them to collect later.

This is a cozy lodge in a small town so facilities are very nice considering this. Room was very very clean and the overall facilities were nice. The breakfast was very good, with several options and a nice dining room. Staff was very very friendly.

Reindeer Lodge has a sauna and free private parking, and is within 14 miles of Kiruna Train Station and 12 miles of Kiruna Bus Station. There's a seating and/or dining area in some units.

Firstly - if you can't live without Wifi, then you'd be best just to stay at home - this is not what Reindeer Lodge is about. If you're after 5 star accommodation, then find somewhere else because staff are not here to be at your personal beck and call. Staff at Reindeer Lodge are amazing - we always felt welcome and part of the family. Our room, although small, was very cosy and clean. To keep the park an authentic experience, there are 2 communal (very clean) toilets, as well as a communal shower and wood fired sauna. When leaving, you are asked to strip your beds fold your bedding and put your bedding and pillows on the lounge to make room turnover quicker for staff. As well as looking after the rooms, staff are also responsible for looking after the reindeer, preparing meals for guests and working at the Saami / Reindeer village at Jukkasjarvi. Staff work long hours and very hard. Breakfast was a really nice Scandinavian style Smorgas, it was great to be able to go in and feed and interact with the reindeer - let them come to you... You can also borrow some cross country skis or snow shoes to go for a walk on the lake. Reindeer Lodge is about a 5-10 minute drive from Jukkasjarvi and a good alternative to the Icehotel. We recommend staying at Reindeer Lodge.

Surrounded by forest, Aurora Camp Kiruna is right by the Torne River, 8.1 mi from Kiruna Airport. Facilities include a sauna and a furnished terrace.

Our lake view cottage was exactly as in the pictures. Aurora Camp is in a beautiful location in the wilderness and a great spot to see the Northern Lights. Unfortunately when we stayed it was cloudy. Staff were very welcoming. Aurora camp offers the opportunity to experience sleeping in an igloo. There is no running water and the toilet / showers are communal (clean) in the main area about 200m from the main part of the camp. I used the sauna for my shower and had a snow bath - very refreshing. The drive down the road can be a little scary, so just take it easy.

Located in Kvikkjokk, Årrenjarka Mountain Lodge offers accommodations with a terrace or a patio, free WiFi and flat-screen TV, as well as a restaurant and a bar.

I liked absolutely everything. Great experience of escaping from the city and being among nature. Stefan is a great host! We also took a snowmobile tour and enjoyed winter activities. Also, from the house along the lake you can walk in an hour to the ice hotel, and along the way you can enjoy the snow, mountains, forest and beautiful views. I hope that we will return to Camp Caroli once again to see the northern lights again and live this experience away from the city alone with nature.
