The best place for relaxation in Matemwe, The staff were very welcoming and supportive specially the reception manager Mr Rashid Khamis, he made our stay perfect. The delicious breakfast experience on the infinity pool is unforgettable. Rooms were clean and neat and had large spaces with a breath taking view for the palms on the ocean. Rooms were almost separate and private with a lot of green areas around where we could see small antelopes and squirrels and they were very shy and cute. It was safe to stay there and walk around before night. At night it is dark and we needed guidance from locals and they were kind and supportive. Food and drinks: The breakfast was fabulous set menu with a lot of items and juices and fruits and the staff at breakfast are amazing. Lunch or dinner weren't the same level of breakfast but were good.

Everything at Marafiki Bungalows was exceptional. We ate all our meals there and everything was made from scratch - a variety of freshly baked pastries in the morning, fresh bread in the evening, home-made jams, fresh seafood, etc.. The property is absolutely stunning - such a peaceful place with amazing surroundings. But what impressed us more was the hospitality of Davies and Paola. They were very flexible with early check-in/late check-out and payment settlement. Davies was always around for anything we may ask! Super attentive, hospitable, and helpful. We really felt like guests at someone’s home. We definitely recommend this option for stay in Zanzibar - the reality will exceed your expectations.

It was a home away from home, filled with impeccable hospitality, thoughtful touches(surprised me with the best cake on my birthday), and unforgettable moments. If you're seeking a slice of paradise with a side of genuine human connection, look no further. Sylvia, Aga, Fau, Fridah, Felix and Denge made me feel truly welcomed and cared for.Also... if you're looking for some pampering, do not miss the massage and body scrub...it was the most blissfully indulgent hour of my entire trip!
