Very peaceful place, a gem in Cumbuco. Breakfast is outstanding (try the pão de queijo) and the staff is really friendly and helpful. The room is exactly like in the pictures and super comfy.

Everything. The room is very spacious with a big balcony. The pool and the garden are very well kept. It is great to spend time outside. Thr best is to have breakfast and dinner at the top floor. But the most amazing surprise was the quality of the food that Chef Olivier cooks every night. We ate much better than in Rio de Janeiro.

We had such a great experience at Varandas Beach Hotel that we initially booked 3 nights and ended up extending our stay for another 3 — we simply didn’t want to leave! The atmosphere here is amazing, especially on weekdays when there are fewer guests. It almost feels like a cozy boutique hotel — quiet, intimate, and incredibly relaxing. The staff are warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. The breakfast was delicious every day, and the overall quality of the food in the restaurant was excellent. There’s a great variety of dishes, everything we tried was fresh and tasty, and the prices are very reasonable for lunch or dinner. One unique and pleasant surprise was the swimming pool filled with seawater — something we don’t often see, and it added a special touch to the experience. We also appreciated the themed evenings — for example, one night they set up a projector and played movies for kids. It made the place feel even more family-friendly and thoughtful. There are plenty of activities and entertainment options for both kids and adults. But the true highlight is the beach! It’s wide, clean, with soft sand and incredibly clear water. You can even rent little quads to ride along the beach. During low tide, natural pools form with warm, calm water – perfect for little children to splash around safely. Honestly, this has been the best beach we’ve seen in the last two weeks of traveling. It’s a perfect spot for families or anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful, peaceful setting. We would definitely love to return one day!
