It was a highlight of my trip! The staff were so kind and attentive and even drove me from and to the bus station. The food was great and their gift shop was full of lovely items.

The property is traditional Japanese home with that is very well renovated with the original structures still standing. When entering the building you feel like you’ve gone back in time, the street is also very peaceful, so it’s very relaxing. The lady that hosted us is simply lovely and we couldn’t be more blessed in our stay.

Stunning onsen (natural hot water spa) next to the beautiful yubara river with a direct view of the Sunayu (the famous and fabulous free public bath near the dam in Yubara) from the spa waters. Gorgeous Kashikiri (private rental) onsen bath on the roof top of the hotel called "Sora No Yu" that will take your breath away with the night view of the lighten up yubara bridge and river. Kind staff. Delicious breakfast. Relaxing atmosphere. Cute rabbit motifs all over the hotel. There is a cute message board for guests at the entrance to leave messages on little wooden boards (perfect for artists). Beautiful hotel. Relaxation heaven. Perfect location! Highly recommend Hakkei in Yubara Onsen.
