Search Mercure hotels in Canton of Basel-Stadt

After getting royally screwed by Easyjet we were left scrambling to find a hotel for the night when this popped up. Despite arriving well after 10pm there was still someone at the front desk happy to help us and he was the one to offer a shuttle back to the airport without us asking for it. The staff were also kind enough to allow us to use the bar so we could vent our frustrations into a nice craft beer. I made an off-hand comment about being cold, only to be given an extra quilt which made me laugh, but was such a sweet gesture too. The room itself was bigger than expected and had decent facilities - shame about no toothbrush, but that's my fault. Temperature was easy to control, nice shower...everything an annoyed traveller needs and at a respectful price considering the short notice. Thank you to all the staff for giving us a little silver lining.
