New and nice interior, big rooms, perfect location

There is a lot to like about the Pacific Rim Hotel! The room was spacious, with plenty of space for three people and bags. The beds were comfy, and the bathroom was clean. The view from our room was quite enjoyable, and we had a nice view of the water over the treetops. There were several eagles soaring overhead, which was quite a nice welcome to our room. The location was great, located among all the shops and stores in Ucluelet.

The owner was extremely helpful and friendly. The unit was huge, with excellent decor and very lovely. It had a king size bed and there was a complete sitting area. Our unit overlooked the marina with the mountains in the background. We definitely would go back.

I recently stayed at the West Coast Motel, and it was a fantastic experience! The location on the harbor is perfect, offering beautiful views and easy access to everything I needed. The fitness center pool was a wonderful amenity, very clean and well-maintained. My room was cozy and comfortable, making it easy to relax, and the kitchen was impressively stocked with everything I needed to prepare meals. The highlight, though, was the staff – they were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure my stay was enjoyable. I highly recommend the West Coast Motel for anyone visiting the area!

I stayed at Island West Resort in Ucluelet and had a much better experience than some of the reviews led me to expect. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a great view of the harbour — waking up and seeing the boats and water right outside was honestly one of the highlights of the trip. One of the nicest parts of the property is the courtyard. It’s a cozy little grassy area tucked away from the wind, which made it a great place to relax. I was traveling with dogs and they were able to play out there all day. It felt very quiet, sheltered, and safe. There are tons of other hotel and motel options in the area that are very similar to this one, so it’s not like this place is unusual or sketchy — it’s a perfectly fine place to pick. It is a bit older, but that’s pretty typical for the area, and everything was still clean and well-kept. The location is very convenient, close to restaurants, shops, and the harbour. There’s also a bar on site, which was handy and added to the overall convenience without taking away from the relaxed atmosphere. This isn’t a luxury resort, and it’s not trying to be. But if you’re looking for an affordable, straightforward place to stay that’s quiet, safe, and comfortable, it does exactly what you need. I’d stay here again without hesitation.
