Despite having been through a cyclone a few days before, the only noticeable effect was the pool. Kim and staff had done a great job cleaning up so you wouldn't even have known it had passed through. Thanks for a great stay.

New ZealandOur family apartment was adequate for five of us. Wayfarer Motel is centrally located to within walking distance to shops in town, and a short drive to the grocery store. It's also on the main route north to Cape Reinga and west to Ahipara.
The pool was crystal clear and a pleasure to cool off after a day at the beach. We didn't manage to make use of the spa but used the laundry regularly.

United StatesThis motel is a charmer with amazing views of a beautiful beach cove. It has everything you need for a beautiful stay. There is an on-site restaurant that looked delicious, however we did not eat there. Sorry we bought takeaway. We would definitely stay there longer if we returned to the area.

Close to amenities ie supermarket etc. Has everything you need for a staff in Kaitaia and Managers are super friendly and willing to accommodate at short notice sorry :)

Gina the owner of the Motel were very friendly and helpful. Room were clean and in good location. It is very near to Pak N Save. Recommend stay for couple and family too.

No milk given with room. Told dairy down the road!!!. Laundry untiday, not available. Wouldn't recommend this motel. Broken couch in room n not discounted for the inconvenience..

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, central location, perfect location for an event at Te Ahu Centre (across the road), great value, older motel and facilities but has everything you need, highly recommend!

Loved our stay, the room was very spacious for a motel and very clean. I usually get sniffly in motels if they are stuffy but this one I felt fine. Clean linen, TV with Netflix etc, full kitchen - Kitchen was well equipped with utensils, crockery, toaster etc.
The location was perfect as we were catching a concert at Te Ahu Library which is right across the street.
Bonus was the ability to bring our dog, ensured we brought her lockable cage so she stayed in her area - a dog park nearby too which is awesome.

The Kauri Lodge Motel was conveniently located to restaurants, shopping and a park. The host was friendly and helpful. We liked the chairs located outside our room.
